Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style that combines R&B with soul, gospel music, and R&B. She's performed on Broadway, in the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine's real the name of Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta however, her roots lie in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop an interest in music, performing and singing at church. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on Atlanta's R&B culture. The very debut song featuring her voice was called Stalk You the Japanese version of 12 track. Since then, it has been remixed and a part of her repertoire. Her voice also appeared on the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. The year 2005 saw Tyler Perry hired her as the primary keyboardist in his stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her voice and her music, invited Sunshine to sing in the Dreamgirls show during Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was the subject of national media attention due to her four daily performances during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was invited to sing as part of Obama's inaugural ceremony in 2009.
